Polly alocasias are native to the subtropics of Asia and Australia. so they love warmer temperatures and higher humidity levels. The leaves are an incredibly dark green with hints of purple undertones and struck through with light-colored veins. They're waxy and thick. making this alocasia variety a little more durable than its cousins. 

When continually exposed to lower temperatures. the plant may grow dormant and lose some or all of its leaves. Keep the plant away from drafts to promote efficient growth. Under optimal humid conditions during the warmer months of the year. your alocasia may bud a new leaf each week. Water slowly and thoroughly when the first 2-3" of soil feels dry. stopping only when you see excess water draining from the bottom of the pot.
